Our boutique guest accommodation in the heart of the Dandenongs consists of three charming 1 and 2 bedroom cottages in a secluded, peaceful and romantic setting. Our small private Dovecote Suite is ideal for those who want a weekend or midweek stay at a more affordable rate. Two acres of English country gardens and meadow nestle amongst a huge variety of beautiful century old trees. The cottages are within easy walking distance of Sassafras Village, the home of the famous Miss Marples Tearoom (best scones on the mountain) and Sherbrooke Forest where you can see the lyrebirds wandering happily.
In the Dandenongs there are many things to do in the vicinity of Clarendon. Within minutes you can be wandering around the lively and colourful villages of Sassafras, Olinda & Mt Dandenong or be visiting six out of the eight Great Gardens of Victoria - National Rhododendron Gardens, Alfred Nicholas Gardens, George Tindale Gardens, William Ricketts Sanctuary, Cloudehill or Pirianda Gardens. For the young at heart, 10 minutes away there's the legendary 'Puffing Billy' steam train in Belgrave, the Kokoda Trail 1000 steps and the Sky High Observatory at the top of Mt Dandenong. Many antique shops house treasures next to contemporary galleries and studios filled with craft, sculpture and decorator items created by the many artists who have made the Dandenongs their home.
